Raj govt to promote scouts and guides activities in schools

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of scouts and guides' 54th ranger meet here, Gehlot said the state government for the first time made a provision of Rs 6 crore in its budget to promote scouts and guides activities.

"The government will not lag behind in making available funds to expand the activities of scouts and guides," he said.

Gehlot said that activities of scouts and guides develop leadership quality in students besides making them honest, disciplined and motivated.

He also called upon the volunteers to come forward to work against evils like atrocities against women and female foeticide.
