Former Telecom Minister A Raja today said he will send a detailed note on his role in the 2G issue to the Joint Parliamentary Committee and demanded that he be given a hearing by the panel.
"I will be sending the note to the JPC.... I am preparing it and it is almost finalised," the DMK MP told reporters outside Parliament here.
"I am maintaining that I should have been called to the JPC.... I have been maintaining that whatever I was doing, it was in consultation with the Prime Minister. He knew about it," Raja said.
He has been demanding a hearing from the JPC in the case to present his version of the issue.
The JPC has given a clean chit to the Prime Minister on 2G spectrum allocation saying he was 'misled' by the then telecom minister Raja whose assurances stood "belied".
The JPC draft report on 2G suggests that the CBI has told it that Raja had allegedly forged the press note of January 7, 2008 after it was seen by the then solicitor general GE Vahanvati.
