As she completed two years in office, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said Rajasthan would do better than other BJP-ruled states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh if she gets three consecutive terms like the governments there.
Addressing a rally attended by BJP chief Amit Shah and other BJP leaders where a number of schemes were launched to mark the second anniversary of her government, Raje said, "If you want Rajasthan to develop, give me 15 years as in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan."
"Rajasthan will be above them (MP and Chhattisgarh) if you give me 15 years. You will see a lot of development. Rajasthan is not lacking in anything," she said.
Her remarks came in the backdrop of a media survey which claimed that more than 50 per cent people in MP and Chhattisgarh were satisfied with the Shivraj Singh Chouhan Government and Raman Singh Government respectively but Raje government's popularity had fallen in Rajasthan.
Shah today said that Raje government will not only complete five years, but will again get the mandate as it has become a "tradition" in BJP-ruled states.
"I am sure the Raje government will complete five years successfully to serve people but also get mandate again and again after every five years in future too. This is BJP's tradition to win public mandate after every five years in power," he asserted.
62-year-old Raje had been Chief Minister from 2003 to 2008 and was again elected in 2013.
