Rajya Sabha polls for 2 seats from Haryana on June 11

Rajya Sabha biennial election to fill two seats falling vacant will be held on June 11, election officials said today.
The seats are falling vacant as Birender Singh and Prabhu Suresh Prabhakar, sitting Members of the Upper House, will be retiring on August 1.
EC has appointed the Secretary and Joint Secretary, Haryana Assembly as Returning Officer and Assistant Returning Officer respectively for the election, Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Singh Dahiya said here today.
As per the schedule published by Election Commission, the last date of filling nominations would be May 31 and scrutiny of nominations would be held on June 1, he said.
The last date of withdrawal of candidature is June 3, Dahiya said.
