Rakesh Bahadur appointed Principal Secretary to Akhilesh

In a major reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government today posted the Principal Secretary (Home) as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
"Principal Secretary (Home) Rakesh Bahadur has been posted as the new Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav," a spokesman said.
Principal Secretary (Technical Education) Neeraj Kumar Gupta has been shifted to the Home Department in the same capacity.
Retired IAS Karnail Singh has been appointed as Advisor to the CM.
Special Secretary (IT and Electronics) Naveen Kumar G S has been posted as the Special Secretary to the CM.
Former Chief Secretary Javed Usmani, who was on the wait list, has been posted as the Chairman of Revenue Board.

The current Chairman of Revenue Board Anup Mishra has been relieved from the charge and posted with the UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) in the same capacity. He will continue to hold the additional charge of Investment Commissioner, New Delhi, the spokesman said.

Principal Secretary (Transport) Kumar Arvind Singh Dev has been relieved from the additional charge of the Chairman of UPSRTC, the spokesman said.
Earlier in the day, the state government shifted nine IAS officers, including two District Magistrates.
DM of Bahraich N K Singh has been put on the wait list and Administrator, Sharda Canal Project, Satyendra Singh has been posted in his place, the spokesman said.

DM of Chandauli S K Singh has been transferred as the Vice Chairman of Moradabad Development Authority.
Principal Secretary (Women Welfare) Renuka Kumar has been relieved from the additional charge of Director General, State Nutrition Mission, according to the spokesman.
Principal Secretary (Mines and Minerals) Chandra Prakash has been put on the wait list. Principal Secretary (Public Enterprises) Gurdeep Singh has been posted in his place.
Special Secretary (APC Branch) S V S Rangarao has been transferred as Officer on Special Duty, Ghaziabad Development Authority.
Transfer orders of DM of Balrampur Mukesh Chandra and Special Secretary, Transport, Juhairbin Sageer, have been cancelled, the spokesman said.
