Newlyweds Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone Wednesday hosted an emotional wedding reception here that was attended by a several celebrites that included badmintion ace P V Sindhu and former India test captain Anil Kumble.

The married couple made their appearance at the evening reception in grand style and interacted with the media and photo-journalists.

Ranveer proved himself to be a perfect husband as he fixed Deepika's golden colour sari as she was having trouble managing it.

After fixing the sari, Ranveer blew a flying kiss to his lady love, which delighted the bevy of paparazzi present.

Ranveer wore a stunning black-golden sherwani, while Deepika a shiny golden silk saree with full-sleeved ivory blouse gifted by her mother Ujjala, which is a Konkani tradition.

The saree was bought from Angadi Galleria in Bengaluru.

Deepika also wore a green choker necklace, stud earrings and a long pearl necklace, with a signature sindhoor on her head.

Ranveer and Deepika's look was styled by ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Badminton star P V Sindhu was among those present. Deepika had played state-level badminton before turning to modelling and films.

Also attending the reception were Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murthy and Infosys Co-founder Nandan Nilekani along with his wife Rohini Nilekani.

In pictures posted on social media earlier, Deepika was seen personally supervising the preparations at the Hotel Leela Palace, the venue for reception.

The venue was decked with red roses as Deepika is extremely fond of flowers.

An estimated 500-1000 guests including Deepika and Ranveer's extended family attended the event.

Ranveer's parents Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju, his sister Ritika Bhanani and Deepika's sister, Anisha Padukone graced the occasion.
