The incident happened yesterday evening when the rape victim had come to the court along with her husband to give her statement in a case of abduction and rape, they said.
A case has been registered against Sunit and four others, police said, adding that one of them has been arrested in this connection.
26-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and raped by Sunit a year ago. A case of abduction and rape was registered against Sunit which is pending in a court here, police said.
A local court had summoned the rape victim to appear as a witness in the case, they added.
