Special Judge S D Tulankar also imposed a fine of Rs 26,000 on accused Shashikant Oza, out of which Rs 5,000 will go to the minor as compensation.
According to the prosecution, Oza had raped the girl, who used to stay in the his locality, on many occasions when she used to go to attend private tuitions.
Oza would threaten her with dire consequences if she disclosed the matter to anyone following which she kept mum.
Oza had once offered her a chocolate and Rs 5 after committing the crime.
The girl had revealed her ordeal to her mother only on January 8 after the pains from the assault became unbearable.
After that the girl's family confronted Oza and handed him over to police and filed an FIR.
The accused was booked under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act.
