Congress has complained to the Election Commission against Rawal's comment on March 25 during a campaign where he had said, "Accept money offered by Congress leaders during elections and then slap them on their face, so that the Congress remembers it for generations to come.
"I had told people not to vote those who try to purchase your votes. Nobody should vote after taking money. I had told them if somebody comes, then you should take the money, but not vote for them," Rawal who seemed to be unfazed by the poll code violation complaint filed against him by Congress said.
Rawal met party workers and locals of Uvarsad village in Gandhinagar today and then left for two more mass contact meetings in the same district.
Tomorrow he is scheduled to meet locals and party workers from more than 20 villages, including Dahegam, Rakhiyal, Piplaj and Bahiyal.
