The Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) won six out of 15 national level transport awards for implementing online booking facility and computerized system.
Managing Director of the UTC, B K Sant and other officials today called on the Chief Minister and informed him about the achievement.
Rawat, while congratulating the officials, noted that UTC should provide more people-friendly and profitable services.
He asked the officials to launch schemes like Haridwar Darshan and ply comfortable buses for the tourists.
The Chief Minister also asked the UTC officials to ensure that bus drivers are not made to work for more than eight hours and lodging facility is provided to them at outstations.
