In their place, InterGlobe Aviation, which runs low cost carrier IndiGo, and Piramal Enterprises would be included in the index.
The changes, announced by India Index Services and Products Ltd (IISL), an arm of National Stock Exchange, will be effective from September 30, 2016.
Further, Reliance Communications, REC and Aditya Birla Nuvo would become part of NSE's Nifty Midcap 50 index, while Allahabad Bank, Justdial and Syndicate Bank would move out from the index.
Apart from these, the exchange has announced changes in several indices including Nity Midcap 50, Nifty 100, Nifty 200, Nifty 500, Nifty Free Float Midcap 100, infrastructure, IT and consumption.
Crompton Greaves would be included in the Nifty infrastructure index, while PTC would move out from the index.
