Reappearance of leopard triggers panic in Valparai

Reappearance of a leopard, after a long gap, has triggered panic among people in Valparai town in the district.
The people heard the bleating of a goat and roaring of leopard in the wee hours of today and confined themselves to their houses out of fear, police said.
They noticed the half-eaten carcass of the goat on the road in the morning and immediately informed forest department and police officials, who noticed the pug marks,police said.
The forest department is taking steps to catch the animal,they said.
