Refined soya oil strengthened by 0.21 per cent to Rs 683.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants widen positions, driven by rising demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December rose by Rs 1.45 or 0.21 per cent to Rs 683.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 58,710 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November contracts was up by Re 1 or 0.15 per cent to Rs 675.50 per 10 kg in 49,280 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by traders on the back of rising demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on restricted supplies from producing regions mainly kept refined soya oil prices higher at futures trade.
