Refined palmolein recovers in lackluster trade

Refined palmolein recovered modestly in an otherwise lackluster oil and oilseeds Vashi Wholesale market here today on fresh retail buying support.
While, groundnutoil and linseedoil held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also slid further, owing to subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.
In futures, castorseeds for September contract continued its downtrend due to speculative selling following lower export enquiries.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein moved up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 540 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 538. Groundnutoil closed unchanged at 970 per 10 kg.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold declined by Rs 30 per 100 kg to Rs 3,500 from Rs 3,530 and castor oil commercial eased by Rs 6 per 10 kg to Rs 730 as against Rs 736 previously. Linseeds oil unaltered at Rs 730 per 10 kg.
Turning to futures, castorseeds September contract resumed slightly lower at Rs 3,775 and drifted further to end at Rs 3,735 from Rs 3,780 previously, showing a loss of Rs 45 per tonne.
