Refined palmolein slides in dull trade

Refined palmolein prices slid further in an otherwise dull oil and oilseeds market here today on poor retail buying support amidst bearish Malaysian cues.
Linseeds oil also maintained its downtrend owing to lack of demand from paint and allied industries.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
In the futures market, castorseeds continued its downtrend on persistent selling In the absence of export enquiries.
In the edible section, Refined palmolein fell by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 505 from Wednesday's closing level Rs 510. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,220 per 10 kg.

Moving to non-edible section, Linseed oil moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 845 from Rs 850. However, Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial both closed unaltered at Rs 3,575 per 100 kg and Rs 745 per 10 kg respectively.
Turning to futures, castorseeds for June contract resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,920 and later moved up further to Rs 3,932 before ending at Rs 3,882 from Rs 3,917 yesterday, showing a loss of Rs 35 per tonne.
