Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial moved up on good offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil and linseed remained stable in the absence of any largescale buying.
Castorseeds futures recovered moderately on renewed speculative demand amid fresh export enquiries.
In the edible section, Refined palmolein fell by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 515 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 519. Groundnut oil ended unaltered at Rs 1,150 per 10 kg.
Turning to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold gained Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,500 from overnight close of Rs 3,475 and castoroil commercial added by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 730 from Rs 725. Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 820 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures, castorseed December contract resumed sharply higher at Rs 3,695 before settling at Rs 3,640 as against Rs 3,580 previously, showing a showing a gain of Rs 60 per tonne.
