Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.98 per cent to Rs 680.70 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants enlarged positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on rising demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December rose by Rs 6.60, or 0.98 per cent, to Rs 680.70 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 64,790 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in November edged up by Rs 6.05, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 674.50 per 10 kg in 22,130 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by traders on the back of surging demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on restricted supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
