Reliance Capital Q4 net profit up 2% at Rs 415 crore

Reliance Capital today reported a marginal 1.9 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 415 crore for the quarter ended March 2016.
Company's net profit in the corresponding January-March period of 2014-15 stood at Rs 407 crore.
Total income (consolidated) has increased to Rs 2,828 crore for the quarter, as against Rs 2,542 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a regulatory filing.
For the entire fiscal 2015-16, Reliance Capital said its consolidated net profit rose by 10 per cent to Rs 1,101 crore as against Rs 1,001 crore in 2014-15.
The Group's total income has increased to Rs 9,998 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016 from Rs 8,929 crore year ago, a company statement said.
"The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on May 6, 2016, has recommended a dividend of Rs 10 (100 per cent) per share on fully paid-up equity share of Rs 10 each," it said in the filing.
As on March 31, 2016, the net worth of the company stood at Rs 15,390 crore.
Reliance Capital, a part of the Reliance Group, is one of the private sector financial services companies in India.
The company is engaged into services including asset management, mutual funds, home finance, commercial finance, distribution business, broking and insurance (life and general).
Shares of the company closed at Rs 383.55 apiece on BSE today, up 0.41 per cent.
