RIL shuts Jamnagar paraxylene unit for maintenance
Scheduled shutdown period is approximately for a period of six weeks
Press Trust of India New Delhi Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has shut one of three paraxylene units at its Jamnagar refinery complex in Gujarat for maintenance.
"The scheduled shutdown period is approximately for a period of six weeks," the company said in a statement.
The shutdown will also be utilised to improve reliability and performance of the unit.
"The other two paraxylene units will continue to operate normally," it said.
RIL has a total capacity of 1.8 million tons per annum of paraxylene at Jamnagar.
