French automaker Renault today announced plans to assemble its compact car Kwid in Brazil which has been a runaway success in India.
"The new Renault Kwid will be assembled in Brazil by Ayrton Senna industrial complex in Sao Jose dos Pinhais (state of Parana)," Renault said in a statement.
This version of Kwid was specially adapted by Renault Technology Americas, which is one of the seven Renault strategic engineering centers across the world, it added.
"The new Kwid has also benefited from the expertise of Renault Design Latin America (RDLA), one of the five Renault strategic design centers, established in Sao Paulo," the company said.
Both of the organisations worked on the interior and exterior design of the car, it added.
The Ayrton Senna Complex opened in 1998, one year after the founding of Renault do Brasil, the French group's Brazilian subsidiary.
Commenting on the association, Mr. Nitish Bajaj, Head of
Marketing, CEAT Ltd. Said, "We are proud to be associated with Renault Gang of Dusters which is one of the most passionate SUV communities in India. Our focus towards safety, grip and stability, a vital component for off-roading journeys, is a key driver for our association. We believe CEAT tyres will ensure a safe and smart driving experience for the participants across all kinds of terrains."
Participants of the Gang of Dusters will also get the opportunity to meet and share experiences with other Duster owners, visit historic sites, talk to a motorsport expert, experience off-roading across varied terrains, and take part in adventure sports like River Rafting, Trekking etc. This is what can be aptly termed as 'Living Life on the fast track' where passion meets excitement and the road just doesn't end. After all, more than just a community, Gang of Dusters is an experience where memories are made.
