Maheswary, who had also won gold in men's triple jump in the first leg of the Indian GP at the same NIS tracks here on March 31, cleared 16.78 metres as his best effort to win the event. His effort was however 7cm short of 'B' qualification standard for the World Championships in Moscow in August.
