Incessant rain and snowfall since Friday night in Chamoli district threw normal life out of gear with Chopta road that links Kedarnath and Gopeshwar covered under sheets of white and approach roads to a number of villages clogged with snow. Besides Kedarnath and Badrinath in the district, Auli, a well-known venue for winter sports like skiing, received heavy snowfall.
