The court also directed the Secretary, Railways to seal and produce the record connected with special arrangement, if any, made at railway stations, Allahabad and neighbouring districts to facilitate safe arrival and return of pilgrims. The court said in its order that "in this background and looking to the enormity of tragedy, it would be appropriate to ask the Attorney General for India/the Solicitor General of India and the Advocate General Uttar Pradesh to assist the court on the next date of hearing (Feb 20)."
