Directed by Tony D'Souza, the movie is based on the life of former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin.
There were reports that Bijlani was not pleased with the making of the movie, which reminds her of the time when she was married to the ex-cricketer.
"That's completely wrong. Even Azhar bhai was a bit concerned about that. She didn't say anything of that sort to the press but some paper had carried it, which is baseless," Emraan told PTI.
"Azhar" stars Emraan in the titular role and also features Prachi Desai, Lara Dutta among others.
The movie is scheduled to release on May 13.
