Respite from bone chilling cold on New Year

The New Year brought some respite from bone chilling cold for Delhiites as the minimum temperature settled at 10.4 degrees Celsius, three degree above normal.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 4 degrees Celsius while on Monday it had dropped to of 2.4 degrees Celsius.
The city woke up to a foggy and cloudy morning. However, according to MeT department, there would be a clear sky in the later part of the day.
The maximum temperature in the last 24 hours was registered three notches below normal at 17.6 degrees.
The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 18 degrees Celsius during the day.
