Rice basmati prices fell further at the wholesale grains market today on adequate supplies following rising arrivals from producing belts.
However, wheat prices rose further on the back of increased buying by flour mills.
Traders said rising arrivals from producing regions mainly kept pressure on rice basmati prices.
However, increased buying by flour mills to meet rising demand ahead of festive season led to the rise in wheat prices, they said.
