"Rituda (Rituparno) had called me one day and gave sort of standing instruction to work in this film. I couldnot turn down the request of someonee who introduced me to the arthouse genre of films through Dahan," Rituparna told PTI at the first look launch of Parapar.
"I still remember that phone call. He had asked me not to charge huge money for my role. And to do the character with all seriousness" the Paromitar Ekdin actor said.
"Someone like Sanjoy whom Rituda used to call Bunty and was part of his film had been missing Rituda every day of the shoot. We all missed his physically," Rituparna said.
The flick, produced by Purti Films, it is based on Moti Nandi's novel 'Puber Janala' to hit the theatres on November 14.
