Taking a jibe at reports of alliance between RJD, Congress and LJP, BJP today said it's like rival animals taking shelter at a safer place in times of flood and dismissed any challenge from the "discredited" grouping in the Parliamentary elections in Bihar.
"Its like lion, goat, dog, cat and mouse taking shelter together at a safer place in times of flood," former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi told reporters.
The senior BJP leader said his party was happy over this alliance which have already been discarded by the people.
He laughed at Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's comment on joining hands with Lalu Prasad, convicted in a fodder scam case, that Congress's alliance is with an idea and not an individual.
"If this is the idea of the Congress undeclared Prime Minister, only god can save this country," Sushil Modi said on the sidelines of a Janata Darbar at his residence.
Flanked by a large number of BJP Legislators, Sushil Modi said Congress and Rahul Gandhi have never spoken against corruption in the past 10 years so "joining hands with a corrupt person like Lalu Prasad is no deterrent for them."
In any case Congress is running a coalition government with Prasad's RJD in Jharkhand, he said.
"Has Rahul Gandhi ever spoken on 2G scam or coalgate scam?" he asked to drive home his point.
With Lok Sabha elections only months away and Bihar with 40 seats holding importance in government formation at the Centre, Sushil Modi said there would be straight fight between BJP and the alliance of Congress, RJD and LJP in Bihar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD(U) is "nowhere."
Asked about likely partner in Bihar, he said BJP's talk with Lok Samata Party of expelled JD(U) leader Upendra Kushwaha is moving in a positive direction.
