Chandrashekhar was travelling in a four-wheeler to some destination of his native district when some people attacked the vehicle with lathis and stones at Jhitkiya village late last night, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kailash Prasad said.
The RJD MLA and his driver ran away to a safe place nearby and were unscathed, he said.
Chandrashekhar later reached Ghelar police station and lodged an FIR. He had named Sanjay Kumar Yadav, Ramkumar Yadav and some others for making bid on his life, the DSP said.
