Road accident kills 16 in NW Pakistan

At least 16 people mostly women and children were killed and several others injured today after a van carrying a wedding party caught fire here, police said.
The incident occurred on Indus Highway in Karak district of Khyber Paktunkhwa.
A van carrying a wedding party caught fire on Indus Highway in Karak and killed 16 people, including seven women and five children, police said.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital and the road was blocked for vehicles after the accident, police added.
