Robbers loot Rs 5 lakh jewellery, cash from house in Gr Noida

Unidentified miscreants struck at a house here and robbed jewellery and cash worth over Rs five lakh after overpowering two women members of the family in the wee hours today.
The house belonged to one Ramvir who was in a hospital in Aligarh when the incident took place, police said.
Ramvir's daughter and daughter-in-law were at home when the miscreants barged into the house around 1 AM and locked them in a room after overpowering them.
"The robbers decamped with Rs 35,000 cash and jewellery worth Rs. Five lakh," a police official said, adding that a manhunt has been launched for the robbers.
