Rolls-Royce rolls out limited edition of 'Ghost' at Rs 4.66 cr

Expanding its portfolio in India, ultra-luxury car maker Rolls-Royce today launched a limited edition of its model 'Ghost' in the country, priced at Rs 4.66 crore.
"This limited series celebrates one of Ghost's defining characteristics - the exquisite 6.6 litre Rolls-Royce V12 engine," Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Chief Executive Torsten Muller-Otvos said in a statement.
The new car 'Ghost V-Specification' will be priced Rs 30 lakh more than the Ghost standard wheelbase model, which is priced at Rs 4.36 crore, the company said.
The British super luxury auto maker said the vehicle will be available to its Indian customers immediately.
"Since its introduction in 2009, an extraordinary marriage of assured presence and remarkable driving dynamics has endeared Ghost to a new generation of highly discerning businessmen and women, ensuring the car's position as the statement of choice for a growing band of successful entrepreneurs around the world," Muller-Otvos said.

The British company claimed the Ghost V-Specification can touch a speed of 100 km per hour in just 4.9 seconds.
Commenting on the Indian market, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars General Manager (Emerging Markets) Herfried Hasenoehrl said, "Ghost and Ghost Extended Wheelbase have been the most successful models in India for Rolls-Royce to date. Ghost has been feted by the new maharajas of business, celebrities and other highly successful individuals.
