Rose McGowan indicted on felony cocaine possession

Rose McGowan was indicted by a Virginia court on a felony charge of possession of cocaine, legal documents confirm.

The 44-year-old actor-turned-activist was not present in the courtroom in Loudon County when the verdict was announced, according to local station WTOP.

She will also miss her trial which is set for today.

If convicted, the "Charmed" alum could face up to 10 years in prison.

In November, McGowan pled not guilty after cocaine was found in a wallet belonging to her that was left behind on her January 2017 flight to Washington for the Women's March.

Interestingly, her arrest warrant did not come to light for another nine months and not until after the publication of two damaging reports detailing decades of sexual misconduct by embattled producer Harvey Weinstein, whom McGowan has accused of raping her.

Weinstein had settled a lawsuit with McGowan in 1997 regarding the same.

The actor's lead attorney, Jim Hundley, did not respond to a request for comment.
