"Haryana is the one of first states to introduce rotavirus vaccination programme on pilot basis along with Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Odisha," Additional Chief Secretary, Health, P K Mahapatra said here today.
Inaugurating a two-day state-level workshop on rotavirus, he said, the vaccine would be available free of cost at all government health facilities under the Universal Immunisation Programme for 6, 10 and 14-weeks-old children.
The vaccine is available in the private sector at a cost of Rs 3,000 for a full course, Mahapatra said.
