Rs 13,327 debt on every individual in UP

By the end of financial year 2015-16 every individual residing in Uttar Pradesh would have a debt of around Rs 13,327 as per data given in the annual budget presented by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in the state Assembly today.
As per the figures given in the budget, estimated debt burden of the state could reach Rs 2,93,200.43 crore by the end of the financial year and considering UP's total population of 22 crore, every individual would have a debt of Rs 13,327.
In the last fiscal the debt burden of the state was Rs 2,65,770.78 crore, which is expected to rise to Rs 2,93,200.43 crore in the next fiscal.

Of the total budget size of Rs 3.02 lakh crore, more than Rs 20,983 crore would be given as debt servicing.
However, the debt burden of the state has marginally declined to 27.5 per cent of the state domestic gross from 27.8 per cent of the current fiscal.
