Rs 13 lakh stolen from bank

Some persons allegedly broke into a cooperative bank here and decamped with around Rs 13 lakh, police said today.
The unidentified persons entered the strong room of Babai branch of Jalaun District Cooperative (JDC) Bank by making a hole in a wall last night, they said.
They stole more than Rs 12.77 lakh kept in the chest, Kotwali incharge Churkhi Vimlesh Katiyar said.
He said the incident was discovered this morning when a bank staff spotted the hole in the wall.
On a complaint of the bank manager, an FIR has been lodged against unidentified persons, he added.
