Rs 19,649 cr budget for UP industrial authorities

Uttar Pradesh's three industrial development authorities - Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway -- today approved a budget of Rs 19,649 crore for 2014-15, allocating Rs 1,500 crore on Metro project in the region.
In the board meeting held here, Rs 9,212 crore was approved for Noida, Rs 7,011 crore for Greater Noida and Rs 3,426 crore for Yamuna Expressway.
The budget laid special emphasis on fund allocation for new infrastructure projects.
"Extending metro connectivity further deep into Noida, and Greater Noida, improving connectivity between Noida and Delhi with new bridge to be build across Yamuna are some of the priority projects for this financial year," Chairman of three authorities, Rama Raman, said, after the board meeting.

Of the total budget of Rs 9,212 crore approved for Noida, "Rs 1750 crore would be spent on land acquisition, Rs 5009 crore on development activities, Rs 1500 crores on Metro project, Rs 500 crore on development of substations, Rs 200 crores for multi level car parking, Rs 200 crores for underpasses, flyover and elevated road, Rs 300 for widening and repair of existing roads.
Rs 50 crore for construction of Yamuna bridge along the existing one near Kalindi Kunj, Rs 50 crore for development of inter state bus terminal at sector 144, Rs 100 crore for Ganga water project and Rs 1100 crores for urban and health services.

In Greater Noida, Rs 3000 crore will be spend on land acquisition, Rs 210 crores for internal development work, Rs 222 crore for outer development work, Rs 221 crore for villages development, Rs 310 crore for urban services, Rs 175 crores for Ganga Jal project, Rs 165 crore for hospital project and Rs 900 crore for payment of loan interest, he said.
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority will spend Rs 156 crore for acquisition of 2200 acre land in Gautam Buddha Nagar district and 1500 acre land in Mathura, Aligarh and Agra districts.
Rs 1110 crore will be spent on development works. Rs 200 crores has been earmarked for villages development in 62 villages, he said.
