Rs 22.92 cr for flyover to ease congestion in Erode

: The Tamil Nadu government today proposed constructing a flyover at Erode to ease traffic congestion in the busy town, allocating Rs 22.92 crore towards initial work, including land acquisition.
The flyover will come up at Erode-Perunthurai-Kangeyam Road near the Government hospital, a state government release said.
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has sanctioned Rs 22.92 crore towards land acquisition and preparation of a detailed project report among others, it said, adding the proposal would help decongest the busy Erode town, which is dotted with many manufacturing units and where traffic volume was on the rise, it said.
