Rs 3 lakh reward for Purnima Hembram by Odisha Govt

The Odisha government today announced a cash reward of Rs three lakh for Purnima Hembram, who won a medal for India in the women's Heptathlon event in the 8th Asian Athletics Championship held in China.
State Sports and Youth Services minister Sudam Marandi congratulated Purnima for her performance in the international event and bringing pride for her state and the country.
Marandi said Purnima, who won a bronze medal, would be given the cash prize after she returns to India.
Earlier Odisha Olympic Association (OOA) had announced a cash award of Rs 25,000 for Purnima.
