The seized contraband was worth Rs 50 lakh.
Five persons were arrested in this connection, 'Q' branch Inspector Kennedy said.
While 40 kg of ganja was seized at Thangachimadam, where it was found kept packed and ready for being transported to Sri Lanka, 60 kg was seized at Ariyankundu area, he said.
All the five persons were remanded to judicial custody, he added.
