Rs 76 lakh seized by EC in Arunachal

A sum of Rs 76 lakh, allegedly meant to be distributed among voters by different political parties, has been seized so far from various parts of Arunachal Pradesh.
The cash has been seized by the the Flying Squads and Static Surveillance teams of the Election Commission, election office sources said here today.
The teams have also seized four revolvers, four guns, 84 cartridges and 5409 daos (local weapons), besides some vehicles and motorcycles for unauthorised movement. A large volume of liquor has also been seized.
The teams have also seized 1651 blankets and 245 mobile handsets, the sources said.
