RS polls: Sushil Modi criticises Lalu for choice of candidates

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today took potshots at RJD president Lalu Prasad for not giving ticket to any candidate from the Dalit community, OBCs or women, for the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls.
The RJD has fielded two candidates - its national spokesman Manoj Jha and Ashfaq Karim, who runs a medical college in Katihar district of the state.
"While distributing tickets for the Rajya Sabha, Lalu Prasad could find nobody from the communities to which Karpoori Thakur and Jagjivan Ram belonged nor did he deem any daughter of Bihar worthy enough," Sushil Modi said in a tweet.

Voting will be held for six Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar on March 23.
