Rs three-cr granted for dev works in minority municipal areas

The Maharashtra government has sanctioned Rs three crore as grant for expediting development works in minority-dominated municipal areas in 15 districts.
Earlier, 69 municipal councils and corporations have been given funds to speed up development works in minority dominated areas.
In the second phase, 31 municipal corporations and councils in 15 districts have been given grant of Rs 3.9 crore.
The grants will be utilised for concretisation of roads, construction of nullahs, setting up of electricity poles, burial grounds.
