RSP registers record daily production in Hot Metal/Crude Steel

Blast furnaces of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) here created all time daily production record of 11,273 tonnes of hot metal yesterday.
This betters the previous best of 11,185 tonnes achieved on May 23, 2015, RSP said in a statement.
Similarly, the best daily performance by the Steel Melting Shops with a production of 10,663 tonnes of Crude Steel yesterday surpassed the previous best of 10,053 tonnes recorded on December 26, 2014, it added.
RSP's CEO G S Prasad visited Blast Furnaces 5 & 4 and Steel Melting Shop I & II to congratulate for achieving the best ever daily production of Hot Metal and Crude Steel, it said.

Prasad spelt out his expectations in terms of production, productivity, techno-economics, cost efficiency, safety and house-keeping.
