Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor B L Joshi has appointed Goel as Vice-Chancellor, said G Pattanaik, Principal Secretary to the Governor, here today.
Goel has worked as lecturer in Philosphy in the Allahabad Degree College and Deputy Collector in Uttar Pradesh before his selection in the India Police Service.
Goel has also worked in CRPF and BSF on deputation.
