"We are thinking to contest alone in all the constituencies in the BTC elections. We have received proposals for a pre-poll alliance, but we have not decided about it yet," Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Anjan Dutta told reporters here.
He, however, said the party has spoken to almost all social groups and different communities residing in Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD).
"We are talking to non-political organisations and we will decide about our strategy accordingly," Dutta said.
Congress' state unit has organised a four-day long interactive session from February 20 for eliciting opinion from local leaders on roadmap for the future and taking suggestions for the national session of the party in April.
Last month, Dutta had said Congress would not go for an alliance with its erstwhile partner Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) in BTC polls.
He had also said Congress would be the majority party and would form the government in BTC.
Earlier, the Assam State Election Commission had said it is planning to schedule the 3rd BTAD elections before the tenure of the present council ends on April 23 this year.
