The SAC met here today under the chairmanship of Governor N N Vohra.
An official spokesman said the committee will be chaired by the Chief Secretary, with Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development Department, Principal Secretary to Government, Home Department, Commissioner Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Commissioner Secretary to Government, General Administration Department, Commissioner Secretary to Government, Law Department as its Members and Director Codes as Member Secretary to look into the magnitude of problems relating to casual labourers.
The committee will also look into the financial, legal and administrative issues that may arise while considering the regularisation or other modalities for dealing with such employees.
The committee will also work out an appropriate policy outlining all possible options in this regard.
