The firm had posted a net profit of Rs 36.02 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a BSE filing.
Total standalone income of the civil engineering construction firm rose by 21 per cent to Rs 967.45 crore in the January-March quarter of the last fiscal from Rs 798.69 crore in the same quarter of the 2013-14 fiscal, it added.
Sadbhav's total expenses during the reported quarter rose by 23 per cent to Rs 886.52 crore from Rs 723.89 crore.
Total standalone income of the company rose by 26 per cent to Rs 2,969.85 crore from Rs 2,358.12 crore during the same period, whereas total expenses rose to Rs 2,751.32 crore from Rs 2,156.12 crore.
Shares of the company rose by 0.85 per cent to settle at Rs 288 per share yesterday at the BSE.
