Announcements made division wise under 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar (government at your door step)' programme will surely be implemented at the earliest, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said.
A review meeting will be held every three months at Chief Secretary level to monitor the implementation of various schemes and plans taken up during SAD, Raje told reporters at Udaipur yesterday.
"Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) has been started with the objective that people should not have to run from pillar to post for their works. We have to ascertain that works are done properly. People will feel relieved if their work is done on time," she said.
Stressing on the need for regular meetings every month at Collector level, she directed Collectors and other senior administrative officials to carry out regular tours in their district, a CMO release quoting Raje said.
Raje also asked officials to conduct surprise inspections at schools, hospitals, and of the supply of drinking water and power. She also stressed on effective monitoring of works of Patwaris and Gram Sevaks.
According to an official statement issued late last night, the cabinet decided to increase employment opportunities in tribal areas, and lift the ban on issuing new mining leases of minerals in Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) areas.
A six member cabinet committee headed by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Gulab Chand Kataria has been set up to decide on how to give preference to tribal people in allotment of mining leases. The Committee will submit its report in 20 days.
To prevent excise duty losses, decision has been taken to increase powers of the First Class Magistrate to raise the penalty from existing Rs 10,000 to the extent of Rs 50,000 under Section 29 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973.
