"We have sent Maggie samples from 18 places across the state for testing. More samples will be sent," Chandravanshi told PTI.
Chandravanshi, who had yesterday said the department would take a call on the instant noodles today, said he expected test reports within a week.
"More samples will be collected to send to the lab for testing," the minister added.
Praveen Kumar, Director (Food Control), said some districts had yesterday sent samples to the Kolkata-based laboratory.
Samples of Maggie were sent for test after reports from various states indicated that the product contained lead and chemical flavour enhancer monosodium glutamate (MSG) more than the legally permissible levels.
